Hieraethia derives its name from 'hieraeth,' a unique word of Welsh origin, describing a yearning for a past that one has never experienced. Our vintage lamps are designed to evoke that sensation, offering a gateway to the charm of a bygone era. Founded by German entrepreneurs Katharina Aava and Alice von Krosigk, Hieraethia embodies the essence of hieraeth.

Alice von Krosigk is a German entrepreneur who founded Sync Collective Ltd. and Hieraethia Ltd. She has a deeply-rooted passion for the creative space and mainly operates in the music industry, while also handcrafting vintage lamps for sale.

Katharina Aava, originally from Estonia, has always felt a deep connection to the past. Her love for vintage markets and repurposing old treasures led to the creation of Hieraethia.
